Uzbekistan undertakes measures to ensure security during holidays

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan undertook necessary measures to ensure peace and security during celebration of the 18th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence and the 2,200th anniversary of Tashkent city. Independence Day of Uzbekistan is marked on 1 September.

Deputy Interior Minister of Uzbekistan Major-General Abdulla Kuldashev said in interview to the state-run UzA agency that Uzbekistan Interior Ministry developed an action plan, which is realized gradually to ensure peace and security during holidays.

He said special groups created in the capital city, regions, cities and districts, which will work to ensure peace and security during celebrations.
