Uzbekistan toughens punishment for violation of road traffic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan (upper house of parliament) approved a law “On introduction of changes and amendments to Code of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility” on 26 March 2011.

Senators underlined that the law is directed at further improving norms of Code of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility, directed at ensuring security of road traffic, life and health of population.

In line with the law, it is planned to strengthen responsibility for such violations as drunken car driving, driving car without license, damaging road, creation of accident situation, etc.
