Uzbekistan to hike prices for hot water, heating

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will hike prices for central heating and hot water supply from 1 October 2013.

Tashteploenergo said that the monthly tariff for centralized heating for population will increase from 663.05 soums per square of habitation to 705.42 soums from 1 October 2013.

New tariff for hot water will make up 8,827.81 soums per person if there is no meter compared to current 8,297.58 soums. Tariffs for hot water will be set at 2,260.51 soums per cubic meter if there is a meter (now – 2,124.73 soums).

Tariffs for dormitory habitants with general shower rooms increased from 6,172.6 soums to 6,567.04 soums per person.
