Uzbekistan to build new plant for automobile industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tool plant on production of technological rigging for enterprises of automobile industry of Uzbekistan will be created on the base of Ferghana Mechanic Plant in 2010-2011.

The cost of the project is US$10 million and its capacity is 200,000 sets of stamp and molding forms.

The project was included into state localization programme and it is priority project for automobile industry of Uzbekistan.

GM Uzbekistan and Samarkand Automobile Plant will be main consumers of the plant.

UzAvtoSanoat will finance the project on own resources. Currently, the company holds talks with equipment suppliers.
