Uzbekistan sets order on opening airports for civil international flights

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved a regulation on order of opening airports (aerodromes) of civil aviation to international flights on 29 November 2009.

In line with the regulation, State Aviation Inspection of Uzbekistan will consider applications for opening airports (aerodromes) of civil aviation to international flights. After receiving application, the inspection will approve or reject application within a month.

The regulation also set requirements for opening airports (aerodromes), which will serve international flights. The airports (aerodromes) should have necessary infrastructure for effective operation of border, customs and other services, have skilled staff and premises.
