Uzbekistan sambo team wins second place in World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The World Sambo Cup was held in Russia on 22-23 March, in which the national team of Uzbekistan took part. On the first day of the competition, our sambo wrestlers won 6 awards of various denominations (2 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze).

On the second day of the competition, national team of Uzbekistan claimed 5 silver and 2 bronze medals. Urmonov Zarnigor (-56 kg), Rasulov Sherzod (-62 kg), Kudratov Istam (-74 kg) and Ismailov Hakimjon (+100 kg, combat sambo) and Yakubov Nemat (-90 kg) won the silver medals.

Abdikerym Ikram (-52 kg) and the Abdalomers Abbos (-74 kg) clinched the bronze medals of the World Cup.

The team of Uzbekistan in combat sambo in the team event won second place after Russia.
