Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A 19-year-old Uzbek citizen whose health deteriorated sharply at Istanbul Airport has been returned to Uzbekistan with assistance from the Uzbek Consulate General in Istanbul and the Migration Agency.

The young man, identified as A. S., had travelled to Türkiye to find work but was unable to continue working because of health problems and decided to return home.

After purchasing an air ticket and arriving at Istanbul Airport, his condition suddenly worsened and he lost consciousness.

He was taken urgently to Çam ve Sakura City Hospital in Istanbul’s Başakşehir district, where he received the necessary medical care.

Fellow Uzbek citizens living in Türkiye covered part of his treatment costs and provided financial assistance during the difficult situation.

The Uzbek Consulate General in Istanbul, working with the Migration Agency, took the case under its supervision and arranged the necessary measures to facilitate his return home.

With assistance from the relevant organisations, the 19-year-old, A. S., was brought back to Uzbekistan.

The consulate expressed gratitude to the fellow citizens who responded to the situation and helped the young man.
