Uzbekistan Receives Over 5.3 Million Tourists in 5 Months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 5,351,868 foreign citizens visited the country for tourism purposes in January–May 2026.
It was noted that the figure increased by 1.1 million people, or 27.3%, compared to the same period last year.
The main flow of tourists to Uzbekistan came from Central Asian countries. Kyrgyzstan ranked first with 1,539,503 visitors, followed by Kazakhstan with 1,246,689 and Tajikistan with 1,211,060.
A significant number of tourists also arrived from Russia (465,885), Afghanistan (198,910), China (178,121), and Turkmenistan (136,997).
Smaller numbers of visitors came from Türkiye (78,312), India (20,807), and Germany (18,291).
Overall, tourists from various countries visited Uzbekistan during the reporting period, reflecting continued growth in international tourism flows.
