Uzbekistan raises contract cost for universities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan approved new price of education of student, who enrolled on contract, at universities for new academic year from 1 September 2013. The prices were agreed with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan.

In line with new prices, from 1 September the contract for Bachelor degree on humanitarian direction set between 4.6 million and 6.75 million soums.

Students of Oriental philology, philology of Turkish languages, Roman-German philology, Journalism and information, Information technologies and information security, Construction, Services and Transport should pay 5 million soums for their education.

The contract for education at Art and Architecture directions now set at 5.4 million soums, Economy and Business, and Healthcare – 6.05 million, International relations and International Economy and International Economic Relations, as well as Law – 6.75 million soums.

The cheapest contract for studying at Bachelor degree makes up 4.6 million soums and the most expensive – 6.75 million soums.

Students should pay between 4.99 million soums to 7.42 million soums for their education at Master degree courses or to obtain second speciality.
