Uzbekistan lost to Azerbaijan in Russian tournament

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan U-18 lost to Azerbaijan on Sunday, 10 January 2010, at the match for fifth place of the tournament dedicated to memory of Valentin Granatkin.

The match ended with the score 1-1, while Azerbaijan were luckier in the penalty shoot-outs 4-3. Uzbekistan took the sixth place in the tournament.

Both two teams occupied the third places in their groups. Uzbekistan led by Marat Kabaev lost to Belgium (1-2) and Russia (1-4), and won Belarus (3-2).
