Uzbekistan increases prices for gas by 8.9%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will increase prices natural gas for population and enterprises from 1 April 2014. The growth rate will make up 8.9%.

According to Uzbekneftegaz, new prices for electricity and gas were approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekneftegaz said that the population will pay 165.24 soums per 1 cubic meter of gas if they have gas meter. The current cost of 1 cubic meter of gas is 151.74 soums. The growth rate made up 8.9%.

At the same time, the cost of 1 cubic meter of gas, if there is no gas meter, will grow from 262.42 soums to 285.765 soums (+8.9%).
