Uzbekistan Expands Tourism Outreach with Info Tour

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Foreign tour operators are becoming familiar with Uzbekistan’s tourism potential as part of an information tour covering key destinations in Tashkent, Khorezm Region, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The event, held from 17 to 24 April, brings together representatives of leading travel companies from more than 20 countries across Europe and Asia, including France, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, Türkiye, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and China.

The initiative is aimed at promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential on the international stage and strengthening business ties with foreign partners in the travel industry.

As part of the program, on April 18 participants visited the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, where they explored the country’s rich historical, cultural, and scientific heritage. They were introduced to rare manuscripts, museum exhibits, and modern multimedia displays.

Guests praised the center’s innovative approach, interactive presentation formats, and its contribution to the international promotion of Uzbekistan’s cultural legacy.

The itinerary also included visits to major landmarks in the capital, where participants observed the city’s modern infrastructure alongside historical monuments and traditional cultural sites.

Organizers noted that such initiatives help expand cooperation with international tourism companies, support the creation of new travel routes, and promote Uzbekistan’s regions, including Karakalpakstan, in global tourism markets.
