Uzbekistan Deposit Guarantee Agency Studies Regnology Solutions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Deposit Guarantee Agency held a meeting with representatives of international company Regnology, which specialises in SupTech solutions.

The main focus of the talks was global trends in the digital transformation of deposit guarantee systems. The Deposit Guarantee Agency reported the meeting.

The meeting was attended by the agency’s Director General Ulugbek Khamdamov and Regnology representatives Garrett Scott and Michal Pechocki.

The sides reviewed modern digital platforms and management solutions used by deposit guarantee organisations.

In particular, they discussed automated collection and quality checks of data from participating banks, maintaining a depositor registry, automating compensation payments, data analysis, risk monitoring and secure information exchange between participants in the financial system.

The participants also exchanged views on the functionality of the technology solutions presented, international experience in implementing them and the prospects for using similar tools in Uzbekistan’s deposit guarantee system.

The agency said it continues to study international best practices, analyse modern digital technologies and assess opportunities to introduce them into the national deposit guarantee system as part of its further transformation.
