Uzbekistan Delegation Attends SCO Business Forum in Bishkek
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Bishkek hosted the SCO Investment Business Forum "Kyrgyzstan - the Heart of Eurasia," which brought together more than 600 delegates. The event united representatives of government agencies, financial institutions, and business communities from the member states of the Organization.
A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Khurram Teshabaev, actively participated in the forum. Speaking to the attendees, the head of the Uzbek delegation emphasized that the economic reforms underway in Uzbekistan open up broad prospects for foreign partners. The official called on the SCO states to intensify industrial cooperation, deepen digitalization, and strengthen transport and logistical connectivity across the common space of the Organization.
During panel discussions and meetings on the sidelines of the forum, delegates discussed in detail the implementation of joint projects in current areas such as artificial intelligence, e-commerce, logistics, and green transformation.
The key outcome of the large-scale international event was the signing of a joint resolution, which provides for the creation of a permanent platform for effective interaction between the investment agencies of the SCO countries. In addition, the parties concluded 12 bilateral and multilateral agreements in the fields of industry, digital technologies, and infrastructure development. The total value of the signed documents amounted to US$150 million.
At the conclusion of the meetings, the participants confirmed their mutual readiness to further increase mutual investment flows.
