BioPharma City Cluster to Localize Vaccine Production with China's CNBG

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Azizov, held a meeting with representatives of China National Biotech Group Company Limited (Sinopharm CNBG), one of China's leading biopharmaceutical companies, and the Yangi Osiyo Xalqaro Biofarmasevtika LLC joint venture. The parties discussed key stages of partnership in the field of high medical technologies.

The main topic of the negotiations was the practical implementation of a project to localize the production of vaccines that hold strategic importance for protecting the health of the republic's population. The production facilities are planned to be deployed on the territory of the under-construction innovative pharmaceutical cluster "BioPharma City."

During the conversation, the foreign partners were presented with detailed information regarding legal guarantees, the established infrastructure, and tax incentives provided by the state to investors who are ready to develop import-substituting production and organize a full production cycle within the country.

Following the conclusion of the official part of the negotiations, members of the foreign delegation personally visited the site of the "BioPharma City" innovative pharmaceutical cluster. The guests familiarized themselves with the progress of current construction work and assessed the capabilities of the modern infrastructure being created for the effective operation of future high-tech enterprises.
