Uzbekistan cut excise on imports of cars from Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- From 1 October 2017, Uzbekistan reduced the rate of excise tax for new automobiles, manufactured and imported from Kazakhstan.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to further ordering Uzbekistan’s foreign economic activity” on 29 September.

According to the document, the rate of excise tax for new automobiles, manufactured and imported from Kazakhstan (except for those intended for medical purposes) will be reduced to 2% of the customs value from 1 October 2017.
