Uzbekneftegaz Dismisses Gulistan Oil Depot Director
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Abdulgani Sanginov, Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz, chaired a meeting to review the performance of the company's oil depots in the first half of 2026. Following the meeting, the director of the Gulistan oil depot was dismissed.
According to the company's press service, the oil depots sold 98,800 tonnes of petroleum products during the first six months of the year, up 29% compared with the same period last year. Eleven of the company's 14 oil depots reported a combined net profit of 12.3 billion soums during the period.
During the meeting, the company's management critically assessed the performance of several divisions, citing shortcomings in petroleum product sales, the efficiency of fuel stations and management practices.
According to the company, the director of the Gulistan oil depot was dismissed due to declining sales volumes, the enterprise's loss-making performance, the incomplete utilization of the potential of its fuel stations and the failure to carry out previously assigned tasks.
The heads of the Kuchlik and Turakurgan oil depots were instructed to submit written explanations regarding the identified shortcomings, while the director of the Andijan oil depot received a final warning.
