Uzbekistan, AstraZeneca discuss pharmaceutical industry development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and international pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca discussed the development of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, the use of modern medicines and further cooperation at a meeting in Tashkent on 26 August.

The meeting was held at the Agency for Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, the agency’s press service said.

The participants discussed the use of modern medicines in medical practice and the study of advanced international experience. They also exchanged views on areas for further cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to current issues in the healthcare system, including the prevention and treatment of cancer.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to continue their cooperation and implement new initiatives in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
