Uzbekistan, China discuss strategic partnership development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss the further development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.

Wang Yi is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and head of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee.

According to Mirziyoyeva, the talks were held in an open and friendly atmosphere. She said the two countries' strategic partnership was reaching a new level and opening new opportunities for developing bilateral relations.

The sides reviewed cooperation in key areas, including trade and economic relations, investment cooperation and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and China.

Particular attention was paid to the global agenda. The participants discussed developing common positions on current international issues.

Mirziyoyeva thanked Wang Yi for the substantive and open exchange of views.
