Ikhlas launches EcoDay project with Rosatom support

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Ikhlas Association of Students with Disabilities has received a grant from Russia’s state corporation Rosatom to implement the EcoDay environmental project. Young volunteers with disabilities will take part in improving urban and natural areas, planting greenery and promoting environmental awareness.

The project will include planting trees and shrubs, organizing environmental clean-up campaigns, and holding themed lectures and workshops. Participants will gain additional knowledge about responsible attitudes toward the environment and the use of environmentally friendly habits in everyday life.

Another part of the project will focus on public outreach. Young activists will produce photo and video materials about the activities and report on their results to attract new participants to environmental initiatives.

One of the project’s main objectives is to establish a sustainable community of young volunteers capable of continuing environmental activities after the grant program ends.

In April 2026, the Ikhlas Association was among the winners of a grant competition for environmental and socially beneficial projects organized with the support of Rosatom and the E.M. Primakov Center for Foreign Policy Cooperation.
