Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The World Sambo Championships are continuing in Tashkent, with medals awarded in several weight categories on the latest day of competition.
Representatives of Uzbekistan’s national team added two silver and two bronze medals to the country’s tally.
Silver medals:
Up to 58 kg: Shakhzoda Azatova (combat sambo)
Up to 59 kg: Lutfilla Saydamatov (combat sambo)
Bronze medals:
Up to 80 kg: Mukhlisa Turdiyeva
Up to 88 kg: Sanzhar Ablakulov
Senior officials of Uzbekistan’s National Olympic Committee also took part in the athletes’ medal ceremony.
Uzbekistan’s team has now won 10 medals at the World Championships: two gold, four silver and four bronze.
