Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek tennis player Kamilla Rakhimova has reached the semi-finals of the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo after defeating Australia's Maya Joint in the quarter-finals.
Rakhimova won the match 7–5, 5–7, 6–1.
Reaching the semi-finals earned the Uzbek player 195 ranking points and US$66,003 in prize money.
According to preliminary estimates, the result could lift Rakhimova to 45th in the world rankings, marking her first entry into the top 50.
Her final position will be confirmed when the rankings are officially updated.
