Voltalia Q2 Revenue Up 35% on New Capacity in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — French renewable energy company Voltalia reported a 35% increase in second-quarter 2026 revenue at constant exchange rates, reaching €198 million. The growth was driven by the commissioning of new capacity, particularly in South Africa and Uzbekistan, according to the company.
For the first half of 2026, total revenue reached €331.3 million, marking a 30% rise at constant exchange rates. Energy sales generated the main share of revenue at €190.2 million, while the construction and services division, Renvolt, contributed €123.9 million.
Electricity generation in the "Africa and International Projects" segment tripled following the introduction of new assets, primarily in South Africa (148 MW) and Uzbekistan (126 MW). As of 30 June 2026, Voltalia's active operational capacity in Uzbekistan stood at 126 MW of solar generation, producing 120 GWh of electricity during the first half of the year, including 84 GWh in the second quarter.
Voltalia is also constructing two projects in Uzbekistan under the joint name Artemisya: a 100 MW wind power plant and a 100 MW energy storage system.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has fully exited Voltalia's equity after gradually reducing its stake following a 2019 capital increase. Voltalia noted that it continues to maintain close cooperation with the EBRD through the bank's participation in financing several company projects in Albania, Tunisia, and Uzbekistan.
Globally, Voltalia reaffirmed its 2026 financial targets, projecting EBITDA between €210 million and €230 million, with €190 million to €210 million generated by energy sales. However, the company lowered its total target capacity for 2026 from approximately 3.7 GW to around 3.6 GW due to revised launch schedules for certain projects.
