Russia's E-Promo Group Enters Uzbekistan Advertising Market Russia's E-Promo Group Enters Uzbekistan Advertising Market
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Russian advertising company E-Promo Group is expanding into the Uzbek market and has registered a local legal entity in the country, Kommersant reported, citing company statements.
Over the next two years, the firm plans to invest approximately US$1 million and build a staff of about 30 employees for its local division. Establishing a presence in Uzbekistan will enable the company to execute contracts and conduct transactions in the national currency while working directly with local advertisers, partners, and media platforms.
E-Promo attributed its market entry to strong sector growth, estimating that Uzbekistan's advertising market expanded by 30% to 40% in 2025 to reach US$260 million. The market is expected to exceed US$300 million by the end of 2026 while maintaining rapid expansion rates.
The agency also noted rising interest from Russian brands in the domestic market, estimating that Russian advertisers already account for roughly 10% of Uzbekistan's advertising sector. As many Russian firms entered the country only in recent years, E-Promo expects their market share to grow further.
The strongest demand for promotional services in Uzbekistan comes from companies in fintech, marketplaces, and classifieds, driven by high internet penetration and e-commerce growth. Russian businesses are showing particular interest in digital advertising, as the digital segment expands faster than traditional advertising channels, with Telegram standing out as a primary promotion tool.
Industry representatives confirmed the growing demand among Russian advertisers for Telegram promotions in Uzbekistan. Ksenia Pavlenko, communications director at Telega.in, said demand for advertising on the platform is rising across the CIS region—especially in Uzbekistan—among both major brands and smaller companies. She cited geographic expansion, Telegram's development as an advertising platform, and an increase in Russian business campaigns as key drivers.
Alexander Solonin, digital development director at Igronik group of companies, noted that Russian advertisers are shifting from trial placements to systematic engagement with the local audience. Igor Demidov, general director of digital agency D-Agency, highlighted the need among Russian businesses for advertising partners familiar with both Russian corporate operations and the local market.
E-Promo, which ranks sixth in the 2026 AKAR and Sostav media agency rankings through its alliance with Group4Media and MG Group, generated 4.2 billion roubles in media buying in 2025, according to AKAR data.
Industry figures attribute the expansion of advertising companies across CIS countries to the region's broader economic performance. Anna Planina, general director of NMi Digital, noted that Uzbekistan's GDP grew by 8.5% in the first half of 2026, with economic growth driving increased advertising activity. Market participants added that establishing Russian advertising infrastructure in CIS nations supports the promotion of Russian brands on foreign platforms, including Telegram.
