The talks focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector, developing pilgrimage tourism, and making effective use of Uzbekistan’s transit potential.
During the discussions, the sides considered opportunities for joint initiatives in the international tourism market, including the organization of pilgrimage travel under the Umrah program.
Special attention was given to strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as a transit hub in Central Asia, as well as measures aimed at improving conditions for foreign pilgrims and enhancing service quality.
A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to cooperation within international tourism exhibitions.
The parties discussed participation in events planned in Jakarta, Tashkent, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, and Morocco, as well as the organization of B2B meetings and preparation of promotional materials to support joint initiatives.
