Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — From 17 to 19 September, a delegation of the Tax Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan paid a working visit to the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of tax administration.
During the meetings, the parties discussed current areas of interaction. The Tajik delegation presented its practices on operating a digital warehouse and applying the certificate of residency.
Their Uzbek counterparts shared experience in introducing online cash registers, organizing engagement with taxpayers based on the “mahalla-by-mahalla” approach, mechanisms of interagency integration, currency control, and the effectiveness of pre-audit analysis. Particular attention was given to VAT calculations for foreign companies providing services in Uzbekistan.
As part of the visit, Tajik specialists toured the “New Technologies” Research Center, where they became acquainted with innovative solutions being introduced into the tax system.
The professional dialogue marked another step toward deepening cooperation and developing modern approaches in the field of tax administration between the two countries.
