Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The fourth International Congress of Endocrinologists of Uzbekistan, titled “Turakulov Readings 2026”, will take place in Tashkent on 15 October, with the participation of Professor Khalid Hussain from Qatar’s Sidra Medicine medical centre, Dunyo News Agency reports.
The congress will be held under the theme “Endocrinology Without Borders: Science, Innovation and Clinical Practice”.
Participants will discuss current issues in endocrinology and prospects for international professional cooperation.
Khalid Hussain, a paediatric endocrinology specialist at Sidra Medicine and Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar, will present a paper on the use of genetic diagnosis and targeted therapy for monogenic diseases in children.
His presentation will examine methods for identifying the genetic causes of inherited diseases and the possibilities for selecting treatments based on patients’ individual characteristics.
The participation of the Qatari specialist is expected to promote the exchange of clinical experience and strengthen cooperation between the Y.Kh. Turakulov Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Centre of Endocrinology and Sidra Medicine.
