Uzbekistan and Meta Discuss Digital Safety Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting with representatives of Meta was held at the National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where issues of digital ecosystem development and improving online safety were discussed.
According to information provided, the talks included Meta’s Director of Strategy and Campaigns for Public Policy in the Asia-Pacific region, Beth Ann Lima, and Regional Public Policy Manager for Central Asia and Mongolia, Erasyl Kalikhan.
The sides emphasized the importance of strengthening constructive dialogue and exchanging experience in building a safe and sustainable digital environment. The meeting covered issues related to the development of the digital ecosystem, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, and measures to counter online fraud.
Particular attention was given to ensuring user safety in the digital space and developing modern approaches to regulating technological processes.
Following the talks, participants confirmed mutual interest in further developing partnership relations and expressed readiness to expand cooperation in priority areas.
