Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On the sidelines of the 82nd meeting of the Council for Railway Transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a bilateral meeting was held between the heads of the railway administrations of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The talks were chaired by Chairman of the Board of JSC “Uzbekiston Temir Yullari” Zufar Narzullaev and Director General of the State Enterprise “Kyrgyz Railways” Azamat Sakiev.

The parties held in-depth discussions on current and strategically important areas of cooperation, with a focus on strengthening partnership ties and creating favorable conditions for increasing cargo and passenger traffic between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to improving the efficiency of logistics routes and enhancing cooperation within regional transport corridors.

Following the meeting, the sides signed a protocol outlining the agreements reached and defining further steps to expand bilateral engagement in the railway transport sector.
