Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent District Hokim Sardorbek Ergashev held a series of meetings during a visit to the Chinese city of Lianyungang to attract new investment to the district and introduce modern technologies, the district administration’s press service reported.

During the talks, the sides discussed Lianyungang’s economic and industrial potential, the city’s advanced manufacturing experience and opportunities to introduce modern technologies in Tashkent District.

Following the meetings, an agreement was reached with Chinese company Yingyou Xinlichen Textile Technology on cooperation in the textile sector, and the sides signed a memorandum of understanding.

The document provides for the introduction of modern textile technologies, the establishment of production facilities, implementation of investment projects and exchange of experience.

During the visit, the investment opportunities of Tashkent District, its existing industrial infrastructure and conditions being created for foreign investors were also presented.

The agreements are expected to contribute to the launch of new production facilities in the district, creation of additional jobs and an increased share of modern technologies in the textile industry.
