Uzbekistan and Hunan Expand Industrial Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and China’s Hunan Province plan to expand cooperation in industry, agriculture, and high-tech sectors, according to the Dunya news agency following talks between Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Farhod Arziev and Hunan Governor Mao Weiming.
During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for joint projects in mechanical engineering, the pharmaceutical industry, and the agricultural sector, as well as opportunities to expand cooperation in education. Special attention was given to strengthening trade and economic ties and increasing mutual investment.
The sides noted the positive dynamics of contacts between business communities of the two countries, as well as the implementation of several joint initiatives aimed at developing practical cooperation.
The Chinese side expressed interest in further strengthening partnerships with regions of Uzbekistan, including organizing joint events and expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Hunan Province, with its administrative center in the city of Changsha, is one of China’s major industrial and agricultural regions, creating additional opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between the two sides.
