Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan, Ural Yusupov, held a meeting with a delegation from the Finnish company EPSE, led by Director Wilson Blain.

The Uzbek side noted the partners’ strong interest in sector projects and emphasized its readiness to expand cooperation, while EPSE representatives expressed gratitude for the support creating favorable conditions for the implementation of joint initiatives.

During the discussions, the parties examined the prospects for project development, including the “Green Zone” initiative.

The Finnish delegation provided information on visits to the enterprises of AGMK, NGMC, UzTMK, and the Almalyk branch of the Institute of Mineral Resources, as well as on the assessment of industrial waste and collected data for preparing a feasibility study. A report on EPSE’s pilot project was handed over to the ministry’s staff.

Following the dialogue, both sides confirmed a shared position on the need to accelerate project implementation and decided to establish a working group to coordinate actions and demonstrate concrete results.
