Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Business sentiment in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Region improved in the second quarter of 2026, with 65% of respondents reporting better conditions for doing business, according to the Central Bank’s business sentiment survey.

Positive dynamics were also recorded across key indicators of economic activity. The share of respondents reporting an increase in the volume of orders reached 55%, up 4 percentage points.

An increase in production volumes was reported by 54% of respondents, 7 percentage points higher than the previous figure. Another 49% reported higher demand for additional labour, an increase of 4 percentage points.

The share of entrepreneurs reporting increased supply volumes reached 49%, up 4 percentage points. Higher fuel and energy consumption was reported by 59% of respondents, 6 percentage points above the previous figure.

Entrepreneurs’ expectations for the next quarter also remained positive. Growth in production volumes is expected by 55% of respondents, while 56% expect an increase in orders and 60% anticipate higher fuel and energy consumption. These indicators increased by 3, 3 and 8 percentage points, respectively.

Positive expectations also remain regarding demand for additional labour. On average, more than 54% of respondents expect key indicators of economic activity to increase in the next quarter.

In addition, 81% of entrepreneurs expressed confidence that economic conditions and the business environment will continue to improve over the next three years.
