Uzbekistan and Finland discuss cybersecurity and connectivity

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Anssi Karkkainen, Deputy Director General of Traficom and Director of the Finnish National Cyber Security Centre.

During the talks, the sides discussed the development of systematic cooperation between the regulatory bodies of the two countries, exchange of experience, and the establishment of joint working groups and professional platforms for dialogue.

Particular attention was paid to Finland’s experience in the development of 5G and 6G technologies, radio frequency spectrum allocation, expansion of connectivity in remote regions, and the introduction of innovative digital services.

The sides also reviewed prospects for expanding cooperation in cybersecurity, training qualified specialists, and the safe implementation of modern digital services.

Following the meeting, participants expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation in telecommunications, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
