Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and China will expand cooperation in air navigation following the signing of a memorandum between the Uzaeronavigation Centre and the Air Traffic Management Bureau of China’s Civil Aviation Administration (ATMB) in Beijing.
The document provides for joint development of technologies, exchange of expertise and specialist training in air traffic management.
The memorandum is the first official agreement between the air navigation services of Uzbekistan and China and establishes a framework for further expanding cooperation between the two countries in this area.
Under the agreement, the sides plan to exchange experience in air traffic organisation, develop communications, navigation and surveillance technologies, and work together on the digitalisation of the air navigation sector.
Personnel training is another area of cooperation. Specialists from the two countries will be able to exchange professional knowledge, practical experience and modern approaches to the organisation of air navigation services.
The document also provides for the possibility of implementing joint projects and initiatives in air navigation.
Earlier, the Uzaeronavigation Centre established a specialised unit to regularly inspect and calibrate radio-technical and aerodrome lighting equipment across Uzbekistan.
