Uzbekistan and China Expand Healthcare Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s leading specialized medical institutions has visited China to strengthen cooperation in the fields of cardiology and pediatrics, according to official reports.

The delegation included representatives from the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Pediatrics.

During the visit, Uzbek specialists held talks at the Fuwai Medical Center, which operates under the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in cardiology and pediatrics, including professional exchange programs and the development of bilateral medical ties.

The delegation also met with representatives of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Foundation, where both sides explored opportunities to broaden practical collaboration in the healthcare sector.

Following the talks, an agreement was signed to provide the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology with a specialized surgical vehicle as humanitarian assistance.

In addition, the Uzbek delegation is expected to study advanced treatment methods used at the Fuwai Medical Center in Yunnan Province during its visit.
