Uzbekistan and Belarus Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 May 2026, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Bobur Usmanov held talks with Belarusian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Alexander Ogorodnikov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas for the further development of Uzbek-Belarusian relations, as well as the implementation of agreements previously reached at the highest and high levels.

Particular attention was given to the outcomes of the 12th session of the Intergovernmental Commission between Uzbekistan and Belarus, which took place in Tashkent on May 19, 2026.

It was noted that the results of the commission meeting would contribute to further strengthening cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The parties also exchanged views on the schedule of joint events planned at various levels through the end of the current year.
