Second "Slavic Caravan" Freight Train Arrives in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The second freight train under the "Slavic Caravan" project has arrived in Uzbekistan from Belarus, with the 44-wagon train completing the transit from Orsha-Vostochnaya station to Chukursay station in seven days.

The shipment was organized as part of high-level agreements, with the Belarusian side confirming a weekly train departure schedule.

Cargo delivered in the train will be forwarded onward to the Akhtachi, Roustan, Nazarbek, and Kakir stations. The train transported timber, sugar, board materials, and consumer goods.

According to provided data, direct rail deliveries have allowed businesses to cut logistics costs by nearly half, ensure stable inventory levels, and move away from more expensive air freight. Plans call for making the route permanent.

The first train under the "Slavic Caravan" project departed from Orsha on 30 July 2026. Its cargo included timber, food products, and chemical products.
