Uzbekistan and BAKTAD Discuss Confectionery Industry Growth

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the Turkish Association of Baklava and Confectionery Producers (BAKTAD).

The talks were attended by representatives of leading industry brands, including Mehmet Yildirim, Karaköy Güllüoğlu, and Burça Baklava, known for exporting traditional desserts to international markets.

The sides discussed prospects for developing the confectionery industry and introducing international quality standards.

Special attention was given to the training of qualified specialists and strengthening human resources in the sector.

One of the key proposals was the organization of a Baklava Festival in Uzbekistan, which could become an important event for promoting gastronomic culture and expanding cultural exchange.

Following the discussions, the parties agreed to launch joint projects and strengthen partnership ties.

Both sides expressed interest in long-term cooperation in confectionery production and professional knowledge exchange.
