Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Ferghana Region has agreed to accelerate cooperation with Chinese investors and attract new participants to implement projects in automotive component manufacturing, information technology, and agriculture, according to the Ferghana Region Khokimiyat.

On 11 August 2026, Khokim of Ferghana Region Khayrullo Bozorov met with a delegation of Chinese investors led by Zhang Zhonghua. During the meeting, the parties discussed new investment projects planned for implementation in the region with Chinese partners.

Zhang Zhonghua, advisor to the Khokim of Ferghana Region on attracting Chinese investment, reported that efforts are underway to attract additional Chinese business representatives interested in launching projects in the Ferghana Region.

Special focus is being placed on three sectors: automotive component manufacturing, information technology, and agriculture. Chinese investors expressed interest in executing projects in these areas.

Delegation members spent two days in the Kuva District, where they assessed the area's investment potential, available opportunities, and conditions created for project implementation. Following the visit, concrete plans are being developed to launch new investment projects with Chinese partners in the district.

Information was also presented at the meeting regarding projects planned for implementation in the Ferghana District.

Khayrullo Bozorov expressed the regional administration's readiness to support the initiatives of Chinese investors, promising necessary assistance and practical support during project execution.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate investment cooperation between the Ferghana Region and Chinese partners, attract new investors, and continue joint work on prospective projects.
