Bukhara Region and Belarus to Expand Economic Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the Bukhara region led by Khokim Botir Zaripov held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yuri Shuleiko, Dunyo Information Agency reported.

The parties confirmed their readiness to further expand bilateral cooperation in accordance with agreements reached in early July at the Uzbek-Belarusian top-level summit in Minsk.

During the negotiations, it was noted that Uzbekistan remains a reliable and time-tested partner for Belarus. According to the participants, bilateral trade is demonstrating steady positive dynamics: trade turnover is planned to reach $1 billion this year, with plans to increase this figure to $2 billion by 2030.

Meeting participants emphasized that cooperation between the two countries is developing across various directions at the government and interagency levels.

Following the third Region Forum, interregional contacts have intensified, with the practical implementation of joint projects in light industry, agriculture, and machine building remaining a priority task.

Following the talks, the parties outlined further measures to implement the reached agreements and develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
