Uzbekistan allows mobile subscribers to keep their number when changing operator

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, from 1 October 2020, subscribers will be able to keep their mobile phone number when switching from one mobile operator to another.

The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan notes that the department has registered the rules for the provision of telecommunications services. The document comes into force on 1 October 2020.

The Ministry of Justice said that subscribers can switch to another operator by keeping their mobile phone number. To do this, subscribers will have to sign a new contract with the relevant company.
