Uzbek President leaves for China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov left for China with a state visit on 19 August 2014 at the invitation of President of China Xi Jinping, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.

During the visit, the Uzbek and Chinese leaders will discuss current state and perspectives of bilateral relations. They will exchange opinion on key directions of strengthening strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.

The sides will also consider several actual regional and international issues.

After the high level negotiations, it is planned to sign a joint declaration, several intergovernmental and other documents, directed at further strengthening Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in various areas.
