Uzbek leader appoints new first deputy foreign minister
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed a decree to appoint Hamidulla Karomatov, the head of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, as the new first deputy foreign minister of Uzbekistan.
Under another presidential decree, Ilhom Nematov, was relieved of the post as first deputy foreign minister of Uzbekistan due to his transfer to another job.
Hamidulla Karomatov, 55, worked in various positions in government of Uzbekistan, including in Cabinet of Ministers, President’s Office, Tashkent city administration, etc. He worked as Ambassador of Uzbekistan in France in 2003-2005.
