Uzbek, Kazakh Presidents Discuss Strategic Alliance

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on 24 July 2026. During the call, the parties discussed the further development of bilateral cooperation and current issues on the regional agenda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the Uzbek leader on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being, and continued success in state activities for the benefit of the people of Uzbekistan.

The heads of state reviewed issues related to strengthening Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good-neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance.

The leaders noted with satisfaction the positive momentum in interaction across all key areas, including growth in mutual trade turnover and the implementation of joint cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy.

In addition, the presidents exchanged views on current issues on the regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
