Uzbek President Offers Condolences to Qatar's Emir

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a message of condolence to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, following the death of his father, former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. 

In his message, the Uzbek president highlighted Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's significant contribution to Qatar's socio-economic development, the implementation of major projects, improvements in living standards and the country's overall development.

Mirziyoyev also underlined the former emir's role in strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar.

"The bright memory and enduring name of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Al Thani, who made a worthy contribution to elevating the friendly ties and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar to a new level, will forever remain in our hearts," the message said.

Mirziyoyev expressed his deepest condolences to the Emir of Qatar, members of the royal family and the people of the country.
