Uzbek FM receives new Bangladesh envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Masud Mannan on 8 October 2013.

Ambassador handed over copies of credential addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on actual aspects of the Uzbek-Bangladesh dialogue.

The sides expressed mutual interest in gradual deepening relations on bilateral bases and within the international organizations.

Masud Mannan confirmed interest of business circles of Bangladesh to expand cooperation with Uzbek partners in such areas as textile, pharmaceuticals, light industry and other industries.

At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing relations in cultural-humanitarian spheres.
