Uzbek FM holds talks with new Brunei envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam with residence in Bandar Seri Begawan Haji Mahadi bin Maidin.

Ambassador handed over credentials, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

Minister congratulated the first Ambassador of Brunei to Uzbekistan with his appointment and wishes success in his responsible mission.

The sides considered actual issues of cooperation, including within the UN, Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international structures.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on the most perspective directions of development of cooperation and expressed desire to hold regular consultations of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two states.
