UzACI, Vietnamese officials discuss cooperation in ICT sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam led by Minister Nguyen Bac Son held negotiations at the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) on 3 October 2011.

During the meeting, the Vietnamese side has been familiarized current state and perspectives of developing communication and information of Uzbekistan, introduction and development of information technologies and telecommunication. In his turn, the Vietnamese side briefed the Uzbek side on development of communication and information sector in Vietnam.

The sides exchanged opinion on perspective directions of cooperation in telecommunication sector. After the talks, the sides agreed to hold regular contacts and consider possible areas of cooperation, UzACI said.

Representatives of Viettel, largest telecommunication and mobile communication operator, participated at the talks.
