US Secretary of State congratulates Uzbekistan with Independence Day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The US Secretary of State John Kerry congratulated the people of Uzbekistan with the 22nd anniversary of Independence.

“On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I congratulate the people of Uzbekistan as you celebrate 22 years of independence,” the congratulation reads.

“The United States is proud to cooperate with the people of Uzbekistan in areas of mutual importance, from promoting education and security to strengthening civil society and increasing our trade and economic engagement,” the message said.

“Our cooperation promotes stability, security, and prosperity throughout Central Asia and the broader region. We look forward to building on these ties as you move forward,” the US official noted.

“As you celebrate this special day, I send best wishes for peace, health, and prosperity to all the people of Uzbekistan,” he said.
